Combo that can take an external cabinet?

I want to get a combo for around $200. But, I want to add a cab later. Aside from the acoustic b200, what other amps can do that?

Here's a link to previous TB thread on the topic of adding an extension speaker to the B200 Can I convert Acoustic B200 ext jack from series to parallel?

Basically the combo extension jack is wired in series so you'll get less overall power but move more air (2 cabs). Why waste money buying an extension cab that won't do much? Conclusion is to get the head/cab rather than the combo.

I think another option for that budget can be the SWR Workingman's 10 old series, that have also his external cabinet. Is pretty good, I used for long time for small gigs. Unfortunately is not more produced but you can find used on line.
Cheers. Enrico

I have a peavey 115 combo that you can use an extension cab with. It's 200 watts at 8 ohms and 300 watts at 4 ohms when using the extension. You can find them used for under $300 dollars and they are well worth that. I used it for several years gigging bars and small clubs without the extension cab and never had any volume issues.

Seems like your amp has been discontinued:
Buy Peavey Combo 115 Bass Combo | Solid State Combo Amps | Musician's Friend

Looks like the replacement is a Peavey Max 115 (60 watts) and costs around $280.

Or look for a good used combo in your area. What's your zip? How about CL?
