coming clean, what amp & speakers to get ???

i'll come clean now that i've confused a lot of peaople with my last thread

i'm a newbie and i don't know what sound i'm looking for and consequently don't know what gear i want / should get... literally clueless and don't know where to start

i don't have a nearby music shop where i can test everything i want not to mention the time and it just doesn't seem productive any way you look at it, i'm reading all i can come across but... it's sort of pointless since i need to hear, what does bright sound like? i don't know... deep?... beats me... plain ignorant, can somebody educate me ?

Don't worry about figuring everything out right now. Let the pieces come together over time. For now you should address your needs. The three big things I think about when amp shopping are coverage, budget, and portability. What do you need the amp for (bedroom practice, outdoor stadium gigs)? What is your current budget for buying an amp?
