This is what my set up will look like:

Home made bass: Ash body, maple neck, maple fretboard, 2 Delano buckers, ACG filter preamp. (build in progress)

Barefaced Super Twelve cab. (saving up for)

MXR: El Grande/Chorus (will add a Flanger, Envelope filter and Delay)

Right now I'm still using a Warwick Rockbass Corvette, Eden Nemesis En400 and an Ampeg SVT Classic HE 4/10.

The Nemesis gives me a somewhat darker tone which I like. But I'm looking for something with a little more bite and character. There's no way to try out all heads that I would like to try, and even then I would have to spend loads of time with each to be able to decide. So I'm going to go with all the reviews and personal findings I get around here.

So, a dark tone, prefferably solid state, not too many knobs and around 500 euro or second hand.

My band is playing stoner/hard rock.

Thanks!!

Hi
You might want to have a look at the Extended Audio Design cabs as an option in the cab department.
