Can anyone tell me if its possible to use my old Peavey KB300 (150w)combo as an extension cab for my Ashdown Mag-C410 300w Combo?

if there's a way of unplugging the internal speaker you should be able to get a speaker lead from your Ashdown and put a male->female converter on the end and attach it to the short lead coming from the internal speaker of the Peavey.

The results might sound a little dodgy, cos technically it's not a good idea to mix drivers that are putting out the same frequencies (using different drivers for highs/mids/bass is fine when the sound is split into different bandwidths for drivers that are meant to handle them). It's more then likely it will sound more powerful in terms of loudness, but the sound coming out of it may also be a bit messy.

This is a rather generic answer as I have not looked at the manuals for either. You should be able to run an instrument cable from the Mag's preamp out or FX send into the Peavey's power amp in or FX return. The Peavey, technically, would not be an extension cab but rather a "slave combo" whereas each combo has its own power source but tonally controlled by the Mag's preamp & EQ.

If you get chance, check the manuals online. 9 times out of 10, there's some reference to routing signal(s) to an external source whether it be a auxiliary amp, recording console, etc.

Yeah that's probably a much better way of doing it really...
