Connecting my bass to (2) amps?

Sign in to disble this ad
Okay,
I have (2) separate bass rigs:
Rig #1 SVT-CL/SVT-810
Rig #2 B2RE/SVT-410HE plus SVT-1510HE

I want to play through both rigs at the same time...setting up Rig#1 for lower end and Rig#2 for mid/higher end giving me a good well rounded tone over the entire bass range. I have a Line6 Bass Floor Pod that I have been plugging my bass into and connecting the standard "Out to amp" output to Rig#1 and the "Direct Line Out" to Rig#2 and it seems to work pretty well.

I know you are wondering why I think I need to do this... The reason is we are playing an outdoor gig next weekend and our PA is not really ready to handle a bass guitar (No Subs) so I want to have enough Umph for an open outdoor gig without the luxury of a PA.

So my question is...is there a better way to play one bass guitar through (2) bass rigs on stage than the way I'm currently doing it using the Line6 Bass Floor Pod as an input splitter?

Is the SVT your main amp?

Unless I'm missing something... 1/4" cable from the SLAVE OUT on the back of the SVT to the front input of the B2RE. At least that's the way I'd set it up.

No problem. I have those lightbulb moments all the time. "Now why the **** didn't I think of that before?!" *facepalm* lol

I'd only add that you should get rid of the 1x15 before you blow it.

You mean the SVT-1510HE? Its a 15" + 10" + Horn, I've been using it in combination with the SVT-410HE connected to the B2RE for quite some time now. You think I might blow it if I use it with the SVT-CL/SVT-810 rig?

Nope. The only thing going from the SVT to the B2RE is the unpowered preamp signal. Each rig is still treated separately... separate gain, volume and tone/EQ controls. If the B2RE/410HE/1510HE setup is working for you, don't need to change it.
