converting a 4 speaker cab to 2 speakers

Sign in to disble this ad
I am in the process of restoring an old V4 cab. I was originally going to use 4 eminence 2512's neo speakers (JohnK mod). I had one of the speakers and planned to buy the other three after I was done with the restoration.

Before I could buy the other 3 speakers the neo prices went up and it put the project on hold. 4x12 is really overkill for my purposes.

I read on TB where somwone mentioned a thread about converting a 4 speaker cab to 2 speakers. I did a search but couldn't find it. If anyone is familiar with this thread or has info re. this, i'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Yeah, not sure it's the greatest idea, but so long as the cabinet is tuned properly for whatever spkrs you're using, it should work, anyway. Think I'd start from scratch though, in your shoes.
