Cord for Eden navigator into drivecore amplifer

Sign in to disble this ad
Ah, Talkbass, the place where dumb questions are answered.

I want to use the main outs on my newly-used-aquired Eden navigator to get signal to my crown drivecore 2500. The main outputs are 1/4" (trs?) The inputs on the drivecore are XLR, no trs input. Should I just get a 1/4 trs to XLR cable use an adapter with a 1/4 trs cable?

Adapters are kind of a weak link in the signal chain and are really meant to solve problems on the spot rather than long-term use.
Whenever I need TRS-->XLR in my PA, I make a new one myself.
Highly recommend you buy or build one, but keep an adapter in your kit too, just in case.

You can buy the correct cable online from B&H Photo or cable suppliers - a little searching would do it.

Adapters are OK in a pinch, but they are best used for one-time or emergency service. For regular use, get the cable made that is correct for your application...and get a spare as well.

The Drivecores do have 1/4" inputs . Even if they aren't TRS they should work fine with your Navigator .

Thanks! I read the drivecore manual originally, but since then I've only been looking at the link/out label on the 1/4", didn't want to assume they were inputs.

The Nav has 3 xlr output
One for DI, the other two are main out
