Cost of Orange Terror 500 Bass in UK

I was hoping some of you UK TB'ers could shed some light on this.

I've read here on TB that Orange amps are a lot cheaper in the UK as they're made there. How much cheaper?

Best price I can find on one here in the US is around $600. And there's a used one sale right now here on TB for $525 shipped.

UK-made Oranges may be cheaper... eg AD200 in the UK £1190 (equivalent $1868) vs. $2399 in the US (just a quick web search - very likely not the cheapest US price).

Chinese-made Oranges (eg Bass Terror) are roughly the same... £419 ($657) vs, as you say, around $600.

Thanks for the info...I'm interested in the Terror 500. As usual, picking up a used one will most likely be the least expensive route.

I recommend the Terror 500 highly... they're cool, characterful, rocky, retro and extremely powerful. The tone-shaping is limited but I'm using an acoustic pre for a touch of added EQ. Check out the threads on tube swapping. Good luck!

I found a used one for about $440 shipped and a new one for $525 shipped. I'm guessing that being the first owner and the warranty will be worth that extra $85. I'm going to put the order in as soon as the sale on the Eden I just tried out for a couple of weeks goes through.
