Don't sweat it, common mistake. But how cool would it be if that was some of John's gear! |

I'm sure they made him more than one rig - probably dozens. If they were his, they were likely one of many road rigs out and about or in a rehearsal or storage facility somewhere.
Either way, they're pretty cool... |

Give 'em the tag number and ask them about it.
You even have a date stamp on it to help them find the record of that shipment.
You may want to hurry as it seems they have new owners(records go away or get lost, etc.)
If that is May 2001, it may also be the rig used here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aH9vKuM-CAQ

1. He used Ashdown late in his career
2. The Who Logo
3. The Rock-It Cargo Sticker which is out of London
4. The JFK sticker showing that the cabs were shipped to New York
You can also contact Ashdown. If you give them serial numbers, they can trace them for you. |

| | | | If this is the same equip he used (I have no idea) the fact that someone went to the expense of having custom raod cases built makes it very believable to me.
OTOH, I have found that celebrity owned equipment does not often add much value (although it is cool).
The Danny Gatton Tele prototype, Mick Ralph's burst, and 2 Marshall stacks belonging to King's X are 3 examples that friends have owned that documented status meant nothing to the sale price. |
