Crackling noise from Ampeg BA115HPT

Hello everyone,

I'm getting a crackling noise from my Ampeg BA115HPT. Seems to not happen when the level for the HF driver is set at 0. Anytime the level knob on the back of the combo amp is turned up, the crackling may begin. Not always though.

Is this a crossover problem or is the cone on the compression driver blown?

Does it happen with most electrical outlets?

Yes. Happens anywhere it's plugged in, everywhere I take it.
