W/o the head, that's a good deal; w/that particular head, it's a good deal.

Thats kinda how I felt, figured I could use the head as a backup if needed and possibly trade or sell the cabs depending on how they work sound wise with my band.

Assuming everything works as it should it's a good deal but a poor combination of cabs. Pick which cab sounds the nicest to your ear and/or meets your volume needs. Sell the other one, then you've got a good deal and a nice sounding rig.

Everything works fine, just out of curiosity why do so many people feel that the 15 and 410 are a bad combination? I know it's all personal preference but I've heard quite a few people say the exact same thing.

The 4x10 has about twice the speaker area of the 1x15, and usually about twice the power handling as well. Meaning, it's going to be louder, and it can take more power than the 15 before crapping out.

The B2R is actually a decent sounding amp.
Doesn't get much love on here, but it HAS the Ampeg growl & if you don't worry about the clip light-use your ears instead- has a decent amount of headroom. It's 350w @ 4 ohms, iirc

I haven't used the head enough to know yet but it seems like it will work for what I need. The head is pretty much just a backup at this point have thought about running an a-b switch and using it as an effects rig but its not really needed.

The 410 does have a higher wattage but with my 5 pro I can run them stereo and dedicate the same wattage to either side, not to mention the way I have them stacked in the photo is not how I have them stacked while I played them. I put the 15 on bottom and IMO it seems to let me feel the bass much more in a basement practice situation . All and all i don't mind the cabs I will admit I like my pr810 a little more but it's just a beast to move in and out of a basement with no outside door, we have to literally roll through the house then down the stairs to the basement. I simply wanted a practice/ small venue rig and seems to work.

The thought that a 15 puts out more lows than a ten is a myth. There is no commercial 15" cabinet that can keep up with a 4x10 in any regard. You WILL end up with a blown 15. If you put the 15 on the top you will have a better chance of hearing its distress.

Isnt the 15 a 4 ohm cab? I had the same one and it was 4 ohms. If it is, make sure the head isnt a 4 ohm minimum or you will only be able to use that alone.

The B2R is a GREAT little head. It has been my main head for about 6 years now and I love it. I get flack for it all the time because of how "low" it ranks among "real" Ampeg products. But then I'm complimented on my tone, and whenever I see someone else with that head I can hear aspects of my sound in it. There is some magic in those buggers. 650 is a great deal for a full rig!

I've lived and learned on the 115 410 combo. The result was weird phasing issues on some frequencies, and an over stressed 115.

I know it doesn't produce more lows than a 410 it's just seems that I can feel it more

Another thought I had is to just let my drummer use the bxt15 or bxt410 for a few electronic pads and continue to use my pr410hlf for practice and sell/ trade the other cab
