Found this on Craigslist. Ampeg SVT 410HE. Looks like it just came out of the shipping box.
(just the cab, Ive had the head for a while)

Guy was asking $350 for it. I picked it up for under $210.00.. Thats all the money I had...

Sounds pretty good. Anyone use these?

There are some great deals on Craigslist, but I only buy from local sellers.
Last year I bought a Carvin LB75 for $300 and sold it one week later for $750. This year, I bought a Spector Euro ReBop for $599, an Ampeg AVT410HE in like new condition for $375 with an Ampeg cover, another SVT410HE in like new condition for $349, a new Ampeg SVT 6 PRO for $625 and a 1976 Fender Precision for $750. I sold the Precision a few weeks later for $1,800.

I had a 410he. It's a good cab, sealed, kinda like half of an 810e. Should do well with it, just don't make the mistake of adding a 15 to it later. Instead, get another 410he. That would make for a 500 watt 8x10 rig capable of kill. Not stun,..kill. Congrats.

I have an SWR 4x10 Goliath II that I will stick with it and see how it goes. Should be good!

SVT 7 Pro, PF500, PF350, or SVT 3 Pro. It's a killer cab. I don't have one but I use them all the time on fly gigs where I have to use a rented amp. And at $210 that's an awesome deal.

It is sort of 1/2 a sealed 810. Would go good with any tube head as well.

Except ones that don't do 8 ohms, like the SVT. I have used it with an SVT before, and it sounds great, but it can stress out the transformer and tubes eventually. Doesn't happen immediately, but not a good idea nonetheless.

True. Although I used to use my bassman on 8ohm cabs all the time. Wasn't too techy then but it didn't hurt a thing. SVT is a robust amp as well. May not be the best idea. Maybe it just means it'll die in 50 years instead of 100.

I've had one of those for several years. Nice cab. Durable, solid, makes a lot of noise if you need it to. I think I got it for around $200 and it's more than paid it's way.
