I don't know. But now that I own an XLS I guess I'll start getting eddycated. Found this so far. And this: Crown XTi 1000 Power Amplifier - Do we like this amp for $500?

The DSP options are deeper in the XTI - beyond that I'm all ears here too.

~9lbs and a few inches of depth is my recollection, but the DSP is a lot different as well. Read the manual.

The Icepak Design Technology is interesting

I noticed this affixed cardboard ductwork when I dusted my XLS 602 out this afternoon:


The dual fans are very powerful and fairly loud. Crown doesn't want any thermal shutdowns!
