Just quick question, so I know that if I was using a speakon-1/4" cable, I need a 4-pole speakon side that is wired +1/+2, but my question is, if I'm wanting to use a single speakon cable (on both end) to connect to the 810E - would both ends of the speakon cable need to be wired +1/+2?

It seems that I've read that for high wattage, you almost always want to use speakon on both ends, so I'm just trying to figure out if it's really going to better for the amp/cab versus a speakon-1/4" at 1400 watts @ 4ohm.

Just use a full speakon cable. You only need one side wired +1/+2. Make sure to mark it on the cable, and only use that side on the amp. It's real easy.
