I saw RTF tonight, along with Zappa Plays Zappa!

Stanley had two Alembic F-1Xs and one each Ampeg SVT IV PRO and SVT II PRO in his rack, and two each 410 PRO NEO and 115 PRO NEO cabs, no Fender Blues Jr. amps in sight.

Rig Rundown - Stanley Clarke - YouTube

Recent rundown of his new rig, although the Fender's not yet been yanked. Wonder if he'll go without it or get a GVT to replace it.

Interesting comment about his Chinese bass regarding the removable neck; the first couple songs RTF did Stanley used his tenor Alembic, then a stage hand brought out his acoustic bass, Stanley started to check his tuning against JLP's violin and had to grab a wrench and (I assume) tighten the neck mounting bolt! Apparently, when he first played the bass the action must have been too high tipping him off to the loose neck.

Stanley only played the new Alembic on a couple of songs, most were on the tenor, with or without the octave pedal, usually with it engaged except for his solos when he "took off".
