What's the skinny on this? I've read about it, watched the videos, and it seems like a solid concept, but is it available yet? And if so, what's the cost???

It protects your speakers from the embarrassing overflow of incontinent amplifiers.

Worth every penny, I'm sure.

Along with a bunch of other bass cab manufacturers, I'm on the list to get one as soon as demo units become available for evaluation. To the best of my knowledge the demo units have not started shipping yet.

Hint: Read more carefully. I'm asking because I DID search, and my search has not given me the info I wanted. i.e. availability and price.

Thanks for playing, though.....

Thanks for the info! I'm definitely interested in getting one as soon as they're available! Looks like speaker insurance, for sure!

To the best of my knowledge Eminence has made no announcements about pricing or distribution (availability) of the D-Fend unit, so until they do, we're all in wait-and-see (wait-and-hope?) mode.

I like the idea of active speaker protection, but the same technology in a powered cab would involve fewer components.
