Hi,
I want to but a second-hand David Eden 410T(540watts RMS @ 8 ohms), but it's the old model and it's not for sale anymore.
The price of this cab is 500$ but the guy doesnt know in what year it was made. I heard great comments about these cabs, well Eden in general. I heard actually that these are KILLER cabs. I'd like to know if this price is good ( which i think is), and i want to know how i can't test it to check if it's all working correctly and if i can tough it for a while
I'm ready to hear you experts .
Thanks
Moe

US$500 sounds a bit high for a cabinet that old.

I never used the 410T though. |

The Eden product names are a code that tell you about the product. The "XL" means extened lows. The D410T won't have the low end response that the XLT has, and that seems to be the cabinet that got Eden's reputation going.
$500 for a D410T seem awful high.

I never used the 410T though. | From what I understand, the T series were meant to be used in a bi-ampable situation, with the 10s providing the highs and mids while the 15 provides the low end-response.

| | | The D410T doesn't need any help from a 115. Been using one for 10 years now. Still my favorite 410. Here's a review from Bass Player magazine afew years back. They were using a 5-string bass run through a Demeter preamp and EBS Fafner power amp and had no complaints about the amount of low end this cabinet was capable of dishing out. Not true for some of the models from other manufacturers that they tested.

It was good, not great I'd say. I would pay more that about 300 for one now... |

I sold it because I needed a 4 ohm cab an it was 8.
