de Lisle ABC Amp Switch--???

Sign in to disble this ad
howdy,

anybody here have experience with this: de Lisle ABC Amp Switch

it is a device that allows you to split your instrument signal (in this case we will talk about bass guitar) into two and sending each one to a different amp.

does it work and does it induce any noise?

my real ? is: do the two signals that it splits them into have the original strength of the original?

i think i know the answer, because it is a powered unit and i assume the power goes to boost the signals.... or so i think...any thoughts or knowledge would be appreciated

/s/ Dave

That's the theory behind clean boost pedals although I've never understood how you could cleanly boost something without somehow changing it's flavor, ie: as if your instrument volume went to 15 even tbough 10 is wide open and any more would require preamping. There's tons of things that can do that but I really doubt any give a pure unaltered "clean" signal. Some a lot cleaner than others, cheap mic pre's more than expensive guitar pedals.
