Dear Gallien-Krueger,

Please build a 1x15, 2x10, 1x12, 2x12....just something in a kickback format. I - and many others - would readily buy one. I like the new combos but want one I can use without a stand or some other device that I'd have to carry/purchase.

Thanks

The problem with kickbacks is that the cab ends up with less internal volume, and that detracts from bass output. There are a few kickback stands available.

Yeah, the stand route is probably what I'm going to have to do. Just really like the new MB stuff but would like it even more if I could "tump" it over. Need something for small gigs or even bigger gigs that have stellar PA support. 810 is nice to a certain extent. I've almost pulled the trigger on an Ampeg BA115 for the fact that I can kick it back...I just like the sound of the GK so much better that I've held off hoping that one day they'd make one.

You could try PMing RAG. He does own the company after all.

Yeah, no need to bother him. Post wasn't aimed at getting his attention either. I was just looking through various sites trying to find what was out there in kickback form...nothing I'd really want at all. So it motivated me to post. I know GK has their reasons (perhaps related to what Bill posted) as to why they build them or don't build them. I know they used to do a 210 kickback that had either the 700 or 1001 RB head. Thought about trying to find one of those used but I just really like the new MB stuff and would rather have that for both sound and weight. I won't die without it but certainly would scoop one up quick if they came out with one.

I used to have the 700 2-10" GK kickback, something was just "lacking" in it.....I'm getting ready to order a MB212, will be selling my Trace 7215SMC, my Carvin B800, and either my Schroeder 15+L or my Avatar Neo 212. Look for them soon...

GK made a 12" combo with a 400 head that kicks back; I saw one in a pawn shop a few weeks back.

Could you put a kickstand on a current GK combo? I know Markbass makes a kit to convert any of their cabs to a kickback.

i use a 110 70w kickback combo from gk, great little amp, its a backline and they also had a 112,115,and a 210. prolly find a used one some where. i wouldn,t hesitate to take the little 110 to a gig with pa if my big rig was down.

You also lose the floor coupling effect.
