This teaser video was posted by the band... and in it, JFK's new live rig was shown: http://www.thisisfakediy.co.uk/artic...79-noise-cave#
At about 0:20 you see the stack. Looks like two old Ampeg 8x8's, but what kind of head is that? Looks to me like one of the old heavy Peaveys, but then again I'm awful at recognizing heads.
This set up looks so awesome, regardless.

Twin Shadow is stellar and we will be playing out best set ever tomorrow. We're all extremely happy with what we'll be playing. No gloom sets make a guy smile haha!
We should spread the word to fellow TB MD'ers

Also, yeah. Baltimore reppin'.

Amp looks like an old Peavey or Earth Sound Research head.

That being said, if you /really/ don't want it, I can hold on to it for you.

| | Registered User | | | | Hey MD guys, not to derail thread, but I just discovered a Baltimore band I'm really digging right now - Arbouretum. They're playing tonight in Olympia Washington just down the street, and *ironically* (not the right term for most of the country) I might not get down I-5 to see them if snow continues.
When it snows here in the NW the world comes to a halt.
Just wondering if you MD cats know the bass player at all? What's his rig? |

I remember reading a Bass Player (?) article from the days before the band first broke up. The bassist hinted pretty heavily that the heads were Acoustic 370s, but he refused to name the actual brand for some weird reason. |

Good band!
I saw them in '08 with another local; Dead Meadow!
What i remember... the bassist played a Fender Jazz through a small 2-rack ampeg head (B2RE is what i thought at the time...) and an Ampeg 4x10hlf... and a sweet beard.
One of the guitarists played a sweet Danelectro guitar!
They sound like folky-post-rock. I like 'em!

Man, I need to move to MD - you guys have it going on for great bands right now!
*and sad note: its snowing like crazy as I type this, and 'round these here parts, that means things will be a-shuttin' down like the rapture done come! So I won't get to see them tonight, if they do get to put on the show. |
