Hey guys,
Trying to figure out what has changed in Nick Harmer's set up in this most recent live performance. It doesn't look like his usual Ashdown 900 set up. And it definitely sounds a hell of a lot better than usual. It appears like he has a multi effects pedal on top of an 8x10 ampeg cab, but I do not see a head anywhere. What do you guys make of it? See video below. It's definitely worth a listen. "You Are A Tourist (VH1 Storytellers)" by Death Cab For Cutie | Show Performance | VH1.com |

When the do the close ups on the drummer/across the hi-hat you can see a rack setup behind the bass cab, around the 3:50 mark you can see what looks to be the input meter of an ashdown head on the bottom part of the rack. |

| | | Yup you can see his ABM 900 in the rack behind the cab, the cab is an Ashdown Classic 810, you can tell by the grille at the bottom...

| | | | Saw them in Philly a couple days ago and nick's tone stood out on more than half the set. Just an awesome overdrive perfectly laying in the mix. |

damn good tone. this guy was the one who turned me on to Ashdown originally.

Especially when he played the black Lakland P. And his overdrive was some of the sweetest sounding that I've heard live. Does anybody know if he's using the Fulltone Bassdrive on this tour? |
