So this is what i know. It has the stock speaker, it is 25watts, made in 72 from what i can tell, it uses 2 12ax7a pre amp tubes, and 2 6bq5 power tubes.

I do have a few questions. I see a ext speaker out. So did they make a matching cab? Ans does that mean this amp will run at 4ohms. And if i unplug the combo speaker could i run another set of cabs at 4ohms?

Congrats on the amp! As far as the output, it depends on if the speaker outputs are in series or parallel, or in other words if the taps on the output transformers are 8 and 16 or 8 and 4 ohm. I couldn't find a schematic for a TBA-2B but I found YBA-2B with the same output tubes, etc, and it appears that they're in series (at which point I'd advise against going 4 ohms), but I may not be reading it right.

Can anyone tell me if i can run this head with just the ext speaker going to a cab?

The combo speaker connects through a 1/8 inch plug can i unhook that then just run a cable from he exstension speaker jack t another cab?

If you unhook the combo speaker, you can run it to an external cab of the same impedance. Whether to wire it of the combo speaker leads or the ext. jack, I'm not sure. It may need a dummy plug in one of the jacks, like a bassman135, ampeg b25b, b15, or other amp with series wired outputs and switching jacks.

Mostly wanted to say, beautiful amp, man. I think you're quickly becoming King S#!+ of low power tube amps.

Thanks!LOL It is a nice amp but the head has far more potential thanthe cab. I think it is just to much speaker in to small of a SEALED cab. It farts very early. But has a very ice tone i would love to hear through another cab!

If not using the combo's speaker, I'd take it off the speaker leads that feed the combo's speaker to an external cab of the same impedance. Can't go wrong that way, you're just replacing the speaker portion of the combo with a better speaker, that's all.
