Demeter HBP1 input gain setup

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi everyone

I've just ordered an HBP1 and can't wait to get it, but I have one question I need answering re. the input gain.

All the basses I play have active electronics in them, some 9v and some 18v. I assume I just try my basses in the "passive" input first, and if they distort I switch to "active" and use that, but I was wondering if there is any way to fine tune the input signal inside the pre itself?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Gareth

Don't mess with it. Your plan (trial the active vs. passive inputs) will be more than adequate. FTR, I use the active input (-dB pad) with excellent results.

Thanks for the response. That's kinda my feeling, but as the unit is coming to me as a second hand purchase I was wondering if there is a default setting for the trimpot?

Not a clue. Why don't you call J. Demeter, ask, and post his response here? I'd really like to know, too. I don't even recall where the trim pot is located in the chassis.

Keep us informed and enjoy the Demeter!

I didn't even know there was a trimpot, I just always used the passive input and adjusted volume to taste
