Demeter VTBP-201s or SWR Grand Prix - Which to Keep?

I've had both for years and since all my work over the past year or two has been on upright, neither has seen the light of day. So I'm considering selling one.

Setting aside my slight preference in terms of tone, which would you keep and why? Would one be worth more on today's used market? Is one more collectable?

Yes, slow day at work...

I have had both the Demeter and the (green) SWR. I would think the SWR is more "collectable" as they aren' t made any more are there are people who really like them.

I played SWR for a long time. I used the Demeter for quite a while as well. I think I liked the Demeter better. I'd keep that and sell the SWR.

Sort of leaning that direction.

I've owned both as well. I'd let the SWR go for sure. Hard to be a Demeter when it comes to rackmountable preamps.

Hmmmmm.... yeah, it's a fine preamp, but I'm thinking it would get me more money on the used market, be easier to replace, and since it's just sitting currently, why not let it go... off to the classifieds I guess.

Personally I'd keep the Demeter...but that's based on the notion of actually using it. Since you're not using either, selling the one with the higher resale value seems to make sense.

I had the Grand Prix for a while. It didn't really mesh well with the cabs I had at the time. The Demeter would be my keeper.

I have the Grand Prix and I'll buy the Demeter to join also to my Ampeg SVP Pro and the Alembic F1-X. Do you know what they've wrote about in Bass Player? Here: http://www.bandatempo.com/baixos/pres.pdf
cheers
