Determining year of Hartke HA3500C? HELP!

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey fellas,

Long time lurker here.

Times are tough and Im selling off my rig piece by piece so I can get down the road to a new town. I have my HA3500C listed on craigslist and have a guy asking what year this amp was made.
Any ideas you all knowing geniuses have to clue me in as to the year this amp was made?

I bought this head used in Feb. of 2007... It is currently set up for 8ohm

Thanks in advance!

Korean made...hmm might have the square transformer. Look on the bottom of the amp does it have one 1/2" or 5/8" bolt in an indenture (dimple) or four small scres heads about 3 inches apart. if it has the latter I would think it was made from 2001 on.
Funny think about Hartkes' to me I mean, when they came out the toriod transformer was one of the selling points for the amp then they replaced it with a standard style...oh well.
the toriod is the round style of transformer.
But...... does it have metal rack ears? The steel by itself might also indicate early 2000 version and not the 90's versions which has the one piece Aluminum face with a thin steel ear set for reinforcement.
I'm going off my boozed up memory form repairing a few over the years. but I would say from 2001 or 99' at the earliest.

I take it the little "passed inspection" sticker with the date on it has was not on the under side of the top amp cover (if you checked there I mean) sometimes it's on the back but you would have seen that I'm sure.

This is toriod

This is the square transformer (from an amp I replaced some parts on).
