| I am running two amps at the same time. The SWR Baby blue gain preamp is the ultimate volume for both. The Kustom is so old it is limited in its patch options so this is the only way to do the setup that I see. That is the crux, limited patch capabilities for the kustom. It was built in Chanute, KS in 1970. Suprisingly, to my ears it works. My practice space is a long room about 35-40 feet with the swr workingmans 15t cab on one end and the kustom combo on the other.
Another reason for the setup is I don't want to let my gear sit idle, in other words I can use the old Combo and not just look at the Black Tuck and Roll upholstery on it. I suppose if a musician friend was over and jamming the blues he could have his own volume control for the bass at whichever end of the room he would be set up.
