DI Recording: GB Shuttle 6 vs GK 700RB?

Hope someone can give me a little info here. I'm looking for an Amp head that will be primarily used for Home Studio Recording. I'd like one with a good DI and tone shaping abilities so I won't need an extra box. Right now it's down to a Genz-Benz Shuttle 6.0 and a Gallien-Krueger 700RB. I think both will work well, the problem is that I've been able to test drive a GK 700RB but not the GB Shuttle 6 (no dealers in the area).

I've got good prices on both so that isn't a factor. Just would like some opinions on the GB Shuttle 6.0 and how well it stacks up to the GK 7000RB for recording direct.

The GB has a tube re-amp, so that's nice. But will it be that much better than the GK 700RB?

Styles are Rock, Slap, Progressive, and Industrial Metal. And a good bit of Fretless mixed in there as well. My bass's have either Bartolini / EMG PUP's and matching Pre-Amps.

Thanks.
