Dialing in you tone... (GK content)

So, you have a new amp. How do you go about finding "your" tone settings? What do you do with the amp? What do you play to hear your way to the amp's sweetspots? GK users: have any input on finding your way with the contour and presence knobs? Do you adjust them first, or after the treble-low mid-high mid- bass knobs...

What is your process?

I know what response curve I want, and I dial it in with a real time analyzer. Then I adjust by ear if I need to. It eliminates searching for my tone in every new amp.
