Diamond-shaped grill road ready cab (Mesa?)

So, just saw this on my local CL:

Sorry...don't know how to link photos yet...

Is this by any chance an early production RR215 or is this someone's garage project?

It's loaded with EV's, got recessed handlebars, the one with a glossy surface on them. Initially thought it was a DIY cab just from the condition it was in. After looking at it more, I'm thinking it might actually be a Mesa, since it was actually quite well-finished, and I don't know if there's any one else out there that makes these RR cabs. It has a strange recessed 1/4" input in the back and nothing else.

Can anyone help me identify it?

Looks like a Mesa RR2X15 to me.

Mine also only has one 1/4 input that is recessed about a 1/2 inch.

Looks like the owner just replaced the dual grills for a full face custom made one.

Actually the grill also looked like it may be original, like this guy's:

Wonder what era it's from. Any idea what impedance it is?

Looks like a Mesa RR 2X15 to me too. While it does look pretty beat up, they are also pretty indestructible, so I bet it sounds great.

So, it's the real deal? Been meaning to try one for a LONG time!

Now, can anyone give me some advice on cleaning off old masking tape residue and how to get rid of cigarette smells?

Patience and good luck?

(Goo Gone / Adhesive remover for the residue. I know nothing of removing smoke smell. I bought a cab in an after a fire sale and the smoke smell eventually left it after 2 years in our garage.)
