You posted this just to rub it in...love the tone from the H&K. I think the head alone is worth the $500:

I have never heard of them until my guitar player got one for his Mesa 412...his rig sounds like satin having an orgasm going to meet the guy tomorrow to get it. Will post some pics of setup soon. I don't know anything about this head, but from what I read, it's a keeper

Considering the head alone used is worth more than what you paid for everything, I think you scored big!

Good deal?
Are you sure it's not an H&K BassBase 600 head?
Are you sure it's not a Shure wireless?

Cheapest one here in the Bay Area for sale right now is $250 up in Martinez...I'm thinking about offering them $150 to see if they'll bite...
That preamp was on a par with a few of the big-money pre's that I've gigged with. NEVER should have sold it....

Question is now....what 410 should I pair it up with? I sold my rig to get something diff. So now I need a cab.
I play an old Ibby SG 5 string with EMG X Jazz PUPS, and a Squire Vintage 4 with the Duncan design PUPS.
Cover band....rock and funk/dance stuff. I want punchy, and warm tones....
Looking at

*SWR Goliath II and III
*GK
*TC Electronics
*Hartke Hydrive

Thoughts?

Already had an Ampeg SVT HLF and got burned out on it.

So...now I need a 410 or something around the $800 range that will give the most punch and warm tones. Ideas?
See list above this post
