DIY 2-15 Second time's a charm
Not quite finished yet , but I just tried my new 2-15 and it seems to be a beast. This is after my attempt at a slot ported cabinet was a huge failure. This one is 36.5" x 25" x 15" and with the setback on the baffle and 2 3015's , my calculations put the net volume at 5.32 cuft. The port tubes are 3.75" x 7.63" which should tune it to around 46.5hz. It is lined with quilt batting. So far it sound really good. Smooth and even tones and very loud. I used 3/4" 13 ply baltic birch plywood , PL glue and my nailgun. I'll finish it with chrome corners , Ampeg grille cloth and Duratex. Thanks to everyone on this this site for all the information needed to make this work. I have band practice tomorrow and I'll really see what it can do.
