I'm a newbie trying to set up a small rig for home use only. So far I have a vintage lucite Renaissance bass, an Ampeg B1 head, and various drivers that I want to make a cab for. The drivers consist of a mid 60's 15" CTS alnico speaker taken from an old Univox SS bass amp, a 10" speaker taken from an 80's Peavey Backstage guitar amp, and a Fender Piezo horn. I have several questions:
1. Can I use a Klipsch 3-way crossover that was designed for a stereo speaker to split signals?
2. If so, if I isolate the Peavey speaker inside the cab does it make a difference that it's a guitar speaker or should I spring for a 10" bass speaker?
3. Not knowing the specs of the CTS speaker, would anyone venture a guess as to what the cab internal volume should be, and the port length and diameter? To save space I was planning on having a downward firing woofer and forward firing mid and tweeter.
