Question Do the mini GK amps have the classic GK sound?

Are you talking about the MicroBass series (the ones with the metal-cased cabinets) or MB2 series (GK's newest mini rigs and heads)?

And do you have an example of what you find to be the "classic GK" sound? Variations exist among the RB series, too (i.e., a 2001RB is significantly different than the old 800RB).

I've been a longtime GK user (all of my amps are GK), and IMO, both my little MicroBass combo (an older MB150S-III) and the newer MB2 rigs capture the "classic" GK tone nicely. They all have their own distinct personalities, but they still sound like a GK head and have similar controls for the most part.

I have an MB2-500, have had a couple of 1001 RB II's and yeah - The Gk sound is in there. Minor differences between all the GK heads but you can tell that the tone apple doesn't fall to far from the Gk tree...
