do old fender channels run series or paralell

i have a bassman 135. if i jumper the channels do they become series or do they run paralell. i ask because id like to put a ts9 between them in front of the normal channel to get some good dirt but keep my low end from the bass channel.

They are parallel.

sweet. on another note. is there anyway to run them series? what would happen if i went into bass channel then out of the line out into normal channel?

You'd possibly blow the amp, as the line out carries the signal from both channels.
