Do you ever want to buy gear you already have?

It sounds odd, but do you ever see a good deal on a nice piece of equipment, and get the urge to pick it up, even though you already own one? I have been enjoying my cab so much lately that when I came across this, that was my feeling:

I guess it would be different if I had a head that could roll with 2 ohms

Every time I see a Jag bass for $400, I have to talk myself out of it.

Although, if I could get my hands on a white one for that price, I would probably buy another.

Hey, for $300 bucks, if it works, pick it up! Get a new head and you have twice the RAWK POWAH!

I want to pick up another Casady, so I can keep one in standard and one tuned down two steps. Switching the tunings regularly is a pain.

I have two Stewart World 2.1 amplifiers. That way, I have a couple of fully functional lightweight rack rigs at all times. Also, I bought a second SWR Interstellar Overdrive simply because I got a good deal on it: I figure it's there as backup.

Sure - I liked my 1st 700rb-II so much that I bought a 2nd one for a backup...

I've liked different settings on pedals enough that I've seriously thought several times about buying a second one to use for another setting. However, this feeling passes*, and I figure out what I really will end up using the pedal for.**

*I still want to get another GK Deisel Dawg and put them both in a single smaller enclosure

**You never stop turning knobs. Leave them alone for more than three months and I think you die or something.

I feel that. I wouldn't mind having a couple digitech BSW's

I'm currently wrestling with wanting several EHX BMSs.

I bought a MarkBass F1 used, and wish I had enough to buy a new one, or an F500.

two matching cabs are always better than one. of course, the impedance has to work for the head.

I just can't even understand why anyone still makes bass amps that don't run @ 2 ohms...

I don't buy what I already have, but I do buy what I used to have again. Helps keep the gear merry-go-round going.

why stop there? why not do 1 ohm? or .5 ohms? i never once thought about impedance or throttling small cabs with tons of wattage until i came on here. to me, it's such a huge chase for zero gain. but that's my opinion and i'm old.

+1 to this. I'd be fine with amps that had a min of 8 ohms for the most part. If you're to the point where you need the extra 3db between 4 and 8 or between 2 and 4 you probably need a bigger amp anyway.
