DO YOU HAVE A CARVIN? LIVE IN OHIO?

I thought I would throw this out and see how it lands. I've been in the market for a new amp/set-up for some time, been to GC a lot lately playing the Mark Bass stuff. I want to try the Carvin stuff too though. I was thinking "Does anyone in the Cleveland/Akron area have a Carvin amp"? Would someone let me come check it out? The BX500 and BX1500 both look interesting as do the speaker cabs, the BXR210.neo is on sale too! If you do and your so inclined to share just drop me a note. I'll bring the Starbucks!

Well, I live in Ohio, and have had some Carvin gear, but I don't any longer. I'll just give you a brief 2 cents. I bought a B1500 brand new. It blew up first gig (not pushed AT ALL). I sent it back for a replacement and the replacement was fine. I got a BX500 and it arrived with one of the speaker outs non working. I bought one of their BRX410 cabinets and it blew a driver first use.

I've had a few of their basses too, and they've been great. I recommend the basses. Based on my history, I'd probably not order any more amp gear from them.

On the other hand, I've not had too many problems with my Carvin gear in over twenty years. What problems I did have were taken care of to my full satisfaction. I'd buy again from them in a heartbeat.

The BX1500 is one hell of an amp.

I have owned a Carvin LB-75 before and played it for some time. Nice bass, my first 5-string, now I'll never go back (I do own 4-string basses, just don't play them very often). I would like to try their amps now, just a little cautious. Thanks for the feedback!

I'm not affiliated with this person at all. Just noticed this on my local craigslist today. Springfield's around the Dayton area.

I'm a self confessed Carvin Geek and among other bits and pieces of Carvin gear I have the BX1500 head and BRX10.4 cab. Awesome stuff.

My Carvin PA system, BX1200, MB10, and PB100/15 have all been rock solid. A very minor vibration from the MB10 was fixed and back in my house in less than 2 weeks.
The powered mixer took a 6 foot fall and shut down. Bent back the knobs, turned it on and it still worked fine. So far so good.
The SB4000/5000 basses are literally a new classic. They sound great, look great, are built very well and play like a dream.
I'd get the B2000 head if I was in the market. You could drive two power hungry 4 ohms cabs with it and tear the roof off.
