Do you think this is a 200w or 400w EV 15L

I have two EVM 15L speakers. One is clearly marked 200 watt on the paper lable on back - its a 15L Series II. And then there is this one, some OEM model 15L 3400. It has a sort of domed plate on the back of the magnet where the 200 watt Series II is flat across the back. Also, the vent hole on the one below is a little larger than the Series II.

Thanks a lot for any info

I just had my 400w EV 15L's out of my Mesa cab, and they were flat on the back and smaller hole like your 200watters.

So it's hard to say what that is.

It doesn't matter all that much. Both have the same 3.3mm xmax, so both are limited to the same output capability. The advantage to the 400 watt coil lies mainly in durability, as the driver will still fart out around 150 watts.

All the EV voice coil kits for reconing, are 400 watts, and those speakers sound good, they will fart out when you push them
