Looking for a device that will allow me to plug in my bass and my ipod, as well as headphones, so i can practice quietly. Something small, light and inexpensive is preferred. I can use my GK MB2-500 as a headphone amp, but when I plug my ipod in, it's one or the other, not both. Any way to split the signal going into the amp to achieve the same thing?

This is what I use. You can get more complicated ones, but this does just fine for me. I have a cord for my iPod that has two RCA jacks on one end and the 1/8 inch stereo plug that goes into my iPod on the other end. The 1/4 inch instrument cable from my bass goes to the Line In, and I plug my headphones in the phone jack.

So would a Bass Rockman.
Or any Crate Bass amp with RCA inputs and a headphone jack.

The Boss ain't exactly small, but there are plenty pedals with the same connections available, plus you'll be able to practice with a few different sounds available.

*edit* I've realized the new one does not have an 1/8" input, like my old one does......

You have to load the songs you want to practice from your iPOD; but with the metronome, pitch adjustment and other features, it's a great practice device.
You can find them on eBay, Amazon, etc.
