Just a random rant, I got an Ashdown 180w combo for £260 a few months ago.

After a peek on the web today, I found out i could get a 307w head for the same price...

Ever happened to any of you guys?

Not sure how you bought the wrong amp. If you would have waited for the head, wouldn't you still have to buy a cabinet?

Its not that i was impatient, i just didnt know it existed at the time.

and i need another cab anyway, 1x15 at 8ohm 120w is too small for giggling or practicing, i would have thought.

Plenty for practice... and I've gigged with the combo you've got, sounds great

With another cab or without?

Is your drummer loud?

Just the combo, no extra cab. Actually, I think mine's smaller than yours, it's the EB180 with 12" speaker.

Drummer is your average noisy rock drummer really, but not metal loud (if that makes sense)

Fair enough I might get a MAG115 cab when i get some money.

Glad to know that my combo might cope when the going gets loud
