Doubt about wich amp should I buy to start.

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys, I am thinking about starting to play the bass guitar.
The bass I am probably going to buy its an Ibanez SR300-PW.
But the amp, I dont know, I want to play at home, with friends, and maybe in some coffee gigs or stage later, after get some practice. I need one to be audible to play with a drummer. My friend as an amp for electric guitar with 30 watts with 1x12 speaker.
The problem is, I dont want to spend more than 200-250€.
I dont know wich brand its better and how many watts should I buy.

Sorry about some english mistakes, my english is not that good.

You want as many watts as you can afford, and as many speakers too. Look for a combo amp that is capable of adding another speaker to, as any combo alone will be quite limited. The new GK 2x10 combo is 350 watts by itself, and 500 watts with an additional 2x10 ext cab. Good luck. (look at used gear).

Look for a used Peavey TNT. That, traditionally speaking, gets the job done.
