Question Down 2 the Wire!

Sign in to disble this ad
New bassist here. Got my first guitar and just need an amp.

This my first amp so I need a little help here. If it came down to these 2 amps which would you wise gentlemen recommend:

http://bass-guitars.musiciansfriend....Amp?sku=424059

OR

http://bass-guitars.musiciansfriend....mp-?sku=480304

Reason why I came down to these 2 is cause I get major discounts with both companies thanks to my job.

Thanks guys!

Not knowing what kind of tone you like, I'd go with the Orange. 50 Watts, a 12 inch speaker and a bigger enclosure. I've never heard them, but because of this, the orange is probably going to give a bit more oomph and lows/warmth.

But paramount ofcourse is you have a listen yourself with your own bass and listen what combo gives the sound YOU like the most.

+1 to everything Blimp said. I'd order both, play them a bit, and return the one I hated the least......: )

Thanks guys I'm gonna try & play the little baby Marshall tomorrow at my local GC but for now I'm leaning over to the Orange. I wish they carried them at Sam Ash or GC to test it out though. :-(

I have an Acoustic B20 in my bedroom, and I love the thing!

But given the choice between the two you listed I'd probably go for the Orange, and welcome to the forum!

Of the two I'd go with the Orange. Its got more power and a larger speaker. Besides it just looks so damn cute!
