Downsize my rig, need advice

I’m currently playing my Ashdown Spyder 550 hybrid amp through my Ampeg Classic SVT 410HE and Classic SVT 115E. Sounds good but heavy to lure out the house each time and I start using half stack now and it hold up good in the gig. I’m not in a loud band so 1 cab should be good for me. I usually use the 115E in gig and it hold up decent.

Was wondering if I shall sell the whole stack or trade it for a single decent 4x10 that is loud, good low end and decent high end? I’m not too sure if my 410HE can hold the low end.

Was looking at Ampeg SVT 410HLF, Orange 410 bass, Ashdown ABM 410 and Marksbass 410.

Of course Markbass is lighter but if money is tight which other 3 will be good?

What about something like a Trace Elliot 1015H. I have used one of these cabs before and it is great, you still have a 15 for low end and two 10s and a horn that reproduce your mids and highs wonderfully with great response. The 15 can even reproduce lows down to 32hz if you like using a 5-stringer. It isn't light at 93 pounds, but it is one cab on casters that would do what you want I think

To behonest I never really like Trace Elliot, but I start like them for some reason. After alot of gig that I force to play one of those old beat up trace combo (1x15), it actually sounded good, tight, punch and LOUD.

I may trade the ampeg stack for the trace actually.

Carvin + Avatar

Get a Carvin BX500 head with a pair of Avatar SB112 NEO’s. Small gig, use one cab. Larger gigs, use both cabs.
Your back will thank you and your sound will be great.

Depends on what is available to you in the UK. If you have a good Ampeg selection available, I would probably go with that 410 HLF as a single-cab rig. It's no lightweight and it is probably the best bet to go with without going to a 6x10 or 8x10 for what you're looking to do. What I like about it, also, is that it is taller than your average 4x10 and brings the speakers up higher so the sound won't necessarily "blow past your knees".

The Ampeg Neo 410 goes lower than the HLF, according to the specs, handles more power and is 20 lbs lighter...

I also like the Carvin/SB112 idea above, but how easily will Carvin or Avatar ship overseas and would it be worth it? I have a Carvin BX500 and a pair of 1x12 cabinets (But not those particular SB 112's) and the rig is VERY loud for being that small.

Good question. I know Carvin does but it costs more, of course. Not sure about Avatar.
