Thanks Reuel | If by 'delayed cabs' you mean people who have waited for years with no cab and no refund and you also mean an occasional theft of an amp head, then yes, it's still a problem. (Dr Bass/Marc Serio)-cab builder accepted >$10k in payments, never delivered gear

I did post something in that thread a couple or more years ago simply cyberstalking and showing folks where they could get hold of the person that owed them a cab but was informed that was against the rules or bad form or something and pulled the post down after about 45 seconds.....nothing ya'll couldn't do on your own.........there is no such thing as privacy anymore, including yours. It's only because people play along with civility there aren't more pitchforks and torches. Myself, I like the pitchforks and torches......keeps people honest. |

this guy is really unbelievable. i only wish i stickied this thread and got involved in this earlier - at least it appears that this thread has served some good, not only in helping -some- folks get relief, but also in steering other folks away from a criminal. | Quote:

On the advice of some of you folks I did send all of info to the Sherrif's office and the investigating officer. I have also still been calling and emailing Dr. Bass but as usual have received no answers of any kind. I also have not received my cabinet, my Carvin BX500 or a refund in the amount of one, both or either of these.
I just wanted to see if anyone has had any luck or gained any ground at all lately. Carvin actually has the BX500 and their high-end neo 2x10 cab on sale as a package right now for about $800 after shipping. I wish I could do it. At this point I'm actually thinking of selling my Matt Pulcinella custom Level 5 (the only bass I have) and using the money to get a lower-end bass and amp set up just so I can gig and audition again. Not having an amp set up is killing my opportunities. The $350 I gave to Marc for the cabinet and the $430 I spent on the BX500 were huge chunks of money for me given my situation and I can't recover it nor can I get that kind of scratch together again. I know $800 doesn't seem like a lot when you hold it up to other gear and certain GAS victims, but it's enough to get a decent performance rig together and I just can't do it again anytime soon. I wish so desperately that Serio would send me what he owes me. I've never been screwed over like this in my life and it really has cost me terribly.
Anyway, if anyone has heard anything new, please let me know. |
