I am thinking about getting a cab from you or one of your builders. I just wanted to know what people are saying here. I wanted to hear from new owners and people he recently made good on their cabs but I do not see much here.

I hope this forum has indeed made it harder for him to continue to exploit musicians. The companies that get props here are precisely those that go out of their way for their customers, and I would cite Genz Benz and Hartke as just two examples (I use products from neither company, but have observed the universally positive reports in this respect). I suspect that if either of these groups were to find the wolf at their door, they would be up front about it and be able to count on the goodwill of a satisfied and loyal customer base, and woe betide them if they weren't.

If the government is involved in every aspect of all of our lives, then there can hardly be any special pleading on Serio's part, can there?
I do not know w 100% certainty he is exploiting musicians but it does seem that way.

TalkBass is *not* a venue for politics.

Keep this thread on topic or lose it.

The fact that the TalkBass community is expressing a lack of faith in the business and, accordingly, not supporting that business is just the free market at work.
We understand that. We do not know w 100% certainty that he is trying to make good. This is no offense to anyone here that has stated otherwise. I want to hear from people he does owe or people he is making good on their money w refunds or cabs.

FWIW...I just today bought a 1260 from the classifieds here, partly based on the rep the cabs themselves have. I don't have a problem buying a used one from a bro here, but that's the only way I'll ever own one.
here here +1

Thanks Chef. I do not have anyone here that has recently received a cab or refund wow.
I wonder if they are afraid to speak up? Or if there really aren't any?

Have you checked the stickied thread? -- there seems to be one recently happy customer (among the dozen or more unhappy ones).

+1 if the OP had checked the last couple pages of the DRB "megathread" then he'd have had no reason to make this post

I am at a loss as to why anyone would defend Serio when we DO in fact know w 100% certainty that he is a repeat scam artist. It's all documented very clearly in that thread, and in great detail

Some clarification here is justified...Greenboy is not related to Doctor Bass in any way, nor are his cabs built by Dr.B.

Greenboy also doesn't build or sell cabs. I also don't believe he receives a licensing fee for any of the current list of authorized vendors, instead he's endorsed some builders who will build within the design spec for the cabs so that you, the player, know what you're getting and that it's up to standards.

I bought two Dr. Bass cabinets off Craigslist about 6 months ago and they sound completely awesome with my GK 700RB II. It sucks that the dude turned out to be such a turd, because I really like the cabs I got. I am about to plug in and get to jammin' right now!

I wanted to clearly make a different thread so people whom he has made or not made good on can respond here not the super mega thread.
I am not defending him I just want to point out that his cabs while he is suspect are good cabs.
Funny my last name is Collins as well.
