Dream Products: What do you want your favorite companies to release?!

I'd love for Gallien-Krueger to produce a modern all-tube head. Probably around 250 watts, able to go down to 2 ohms... I lust for a 2 x 412 Neo set up. The pre-amp would just be delicious. They do solid state extremely well, but I think that with their recent forays into hybrids with the MB Fusion they could produce a worthy competitor to the Peavey VB-2 and Mesa 400+.

Also, I'd love to see them produce a 2x15 Neo, available in both 4 ohms and 8 ohms, and a 6x10 Neo.

I'd love to see Eden create a Neo line of cabinets... I feel like they would usher in a LOT more players if they went that route.

What would you guys like to see?

I would love to see GK pump out a pedal DI. 2 channel w/ effects loop. Their normal limiter, 4 band eq, parallel out. With or without tube.

Also, a Leslie for bass would just be neat.

Ampeg has just released this year what i always wanted. A high power light weight portaflex that still sounds great. By the looks of the sales of these units I am not the only one who wanted this.

A 1000W GK RB head in the same line as the 700RBII and 1001RB. That, coupled to a Neo 610.

Interesting topic. I've got two; one for G-K, and one for Peavey.

For G-K:
Make a class D version of the 800RB, by joining an MB200 and MB500. Add a crossover, and put it in a 1U rackmount package (would allow for 2 channels).

For those who don't biamp, separate power amps would expand cab options.

For Peavey:
Make a digital bass preamp front-end for the IPR-DSP series of power amps. Basically, do what TCE is doing with the RH amps, except for the fake power specs, and with the ability to override the "tubey" power amp behavior. Keep MAXX Bass as an option.

This wouldn't be a big leap for Peavey. The DSP is already in the amp, and they've done something similar before, with the BAM. Could be considered a BAM update, with much lower weight, and less emphasis on cab modeling and effects; more on tone controls.

A fold-up 610 cab that weighs 18 lbs. and fits in the passenger seat. I don't care what company makes it.

orange or ampeg 250 watt combo all tube amp at a reasonable price (not over a grand). the fender bassman tv are pretty good but 150 watts for 800 may be a bit light for the infamous "enough clean headroom".... and the cup holder should be able to hold a texas size barley pop!

maybe im just remembering my old 100 watt bassman head from highschool in '85 and some fat 15s underneath.. or something like this:

All Tube Fender Studio Bass Amp (200 Watts)

I want Rickenbacker to produce a 5 string bass with a bridge spacing of 2 1/2" to 2 3/4" spacing and pickups that cover all 5 strings.

Ya I know they will never do it ... but damn I can dream huh?

I wish someone could actually make a light weight solid state amp that actually sounds like a vintage tube amp.

Honestly, I don't care what they call it as long as it sounds like Ampeg.

Just wondering about your ideal size & power. 100w or less covers a lot of ground.
