If money were no issue. If you had any materials, components, designers, gurus available. just for you, not "the market". would you start with a brand new amp design? would it be a head and cab(s) or a combo? dream on.

If I had the cash to fund the whole rig I would go big. Two 1515/66 fEARfuls with a Peavey IPR pushing them. Then I would have a Tech 21 RBI and an RPM in front of that.

I would have GK craft a ~350 watt, 2 ohm capable all tube head for me, in the style of the old 800RB. I would run 2 of those heads, in stereo, and each head would power 2 GK 412 Neo's. This head, tentatively called the GK 350TB, would also have a seperate power section for the very highs (again, like the biamping for the 800RB) that would privately power two GK 410Neos (stacked like a fridge).

Set up would look like:

|350TB| |350TB|
___ ___ ___ ___ ___

| O| | O| |o o| | O| | O|

I'd probably want to go Phil Jones way with amplification.

Phil Jones P1 or Glockenklang Bass Art Classic Preamp into a Meyer MTS-4A.

Bongo 5 HH, Fender Roscoe Beck V, & Fender AmStd P5 as input instruments.

Roadies and a van would be a must!

Probably just get a second Ashdown ABM810 and spruce up my current one and then run them both off of my ABM900 head

I'm most of the way there and, to be perfectly honest, a single 810 is ample for my needs

I'm a Hiwatt DR405, ShuttleMAX 9.2 or 12, maybe a vintage SVT head, and about two fEarfuls from having my GAS absolutely cured.

fEARful™ enclosures for bass/drums/keys is a good starting point. Searching this forum with keyword "fearful" will probably come up with some good information. The intention is to have a studio monitor-like bass cabinet.

Big stack of fEARful 15/6s, and a big all-tube power amp for each one (SVT300 maybe?). An all-tube preamp for my Fender fretless, and two all-tube preamps for the two pickups of my Rick.

And a really big place to play!

I would have 2 Fender Pro 810 cabs (one for each side of the stage) driven by 2 Genz Benz Shuttlemax 1200w heads, and last, but certainly not least, a brand new black peavey T-40 made by Chuck Todd. And a Fender Bassman TV Duo Ten amp for the studio.

My dream rig would be a vintage SVT and 2 8x10 cabs that fold up like the cars in The Jetsons.

Fender 400ps through the three folded horn 18s it came with. Or an Acoustic 360, or a Peavey Classic 400 through a couple of 2x15s.

I'd keep my DB750 and use the money to buy a bigger boat.
