The Ashdown rig is set up this way too... The 1x15 is just the right height to get the 4x10 at a decent height.
I have an Aggie DB410 (4ohm) on wheels that is just a total beast - both volume and weight-wise, so it usually stays at home.
So, for most of my gigs it's the pair of 112's that do the trick - plus I love the smaller footprint on stage, since most of my work is in clubs...

Also looking into adding an 8x10" or more 15's...

Until I get that 15 I have my eye on...

They have a vertical disposition, so when you stack them, they sit nice and high, and the sound hits you right in the back. It's nice to be able to split them up for smaller gigs and rehearsals as well. Not to mention, when you do split them up, they have a built in kick-stand to fire the sound up at you. Just an all around great rig! |

a Laney 2X12 with EV12S's, 3 Altec 417 1X12" cabs and a JBL D120f cab. Oh and an Ashdown 1X15.
Sorry I could not select that as a option in the survey. |

But it's interesting to see the number of 2x12 rigs out there. I still can't quite bring myself to go quite that small. But as I said, no more 410s--and anything larger is right out.
