A drunken tribute to Bill Fitzmaurice!

Sign in to disble this ad
After being full of Famous Grouse, Nicotine and sleep deprivation, it's time to be strange

I'd like to take my hat off to Bill Fitzmaurice for being the most helpful guy I've experienced on Talkbass.

He always seems to be online, and every post he writes is full of helpful information and detail!

He's a technical genius in my opinion, all hail Bill!

Keep rocking

Does this mean I have to have a shot of Jagermeister before I can chime in?

Bill's always been super helpful....and patient, considering how much time these guy's in the know take out of their day to keep explaining, and re-explaining the same basic stuff. I'd liken it to somebody who writes computer code taking the time to explain how to copy and paste or something.

Although, after many....many ernest efforts, I've deemed his technical advise to be a bit too involved to take full advantage of while sauced. It's best digested somewhere between coffee and lunch.

He once made a 500-watt 1515666 combo out of a transistor radio and an empty pack of Marlboros!

I doubt this means you're going to be taking any long, hot showers with him, though.

I have no interest in showering with BFM but I agree with the TS. I always like Bill's info on threads related to engineering and cab design. He always brings his A-Game when posters start arguing with him.

Here's a tip o' the glass to Bill from me, too.. (I have a cold and been drinking Old Mr. Boston's Rock n Rye all weekend). Seriously, Bill has helped me learn some stuff, too. Thanks, Bill.
