Dual Channel / Bridgeable Head?

Sign in to disble this ad
I've long been a fan of pre / power racks but I'd like to see what's available in the realm of dual channel integrated heads capable of pushing >300 watts / channel @ 8 ohm and >800 watts / bridged @ 8 ohm. Something lightweight would be nice but not at the expense of sacrificing tone.

I don't even know where to start so your opinions are greatly appreciated!

You just described a Walter Woods stereo amp.

Thanks for the suggestions. The Carvin BX1500 appears to be the best bang-for-the-buck given my requirements. The Ampeg would weigh as much as my current rig (~40 lbs.) which kinda defeats the project. The Walter Woods is just way above my budget as I'm working on the cheap.

Forget my suggestion, I figured when you said Dual Channel, you were thinking of two channels as in two complete, independent, with separate EQ and FX loops, etc., preamp channels, something that the WW has no real rival in, IIR.

Worth the money, BTW, in the long run.
