Here's another crackpot idea most likely, but just curious. Sure, it's no PL Premium, but could it *maybe* work or has someone here tried it?
What I'm thinking is one could provide a flat pack with the tape pre installed on one side. The end user could then just stick it all together. Mess free! Perfect for the apartment builder. It requires ply to be sealed, but again, that's on the provider, not end user. Hmm, cleat-like pieces for increased bonding surface area or of a non-porous material for better bonding could make it more feasible. Can't imagine it being stronger than the base material, as a proper glue joint would be, but *strong enough*? Making it all air tight in the corners might be tricky. Provides some damping that may or may not be useful. Fairly pricey...
